Mental Health (MH) needs a serious amount of attention in the habesha household. This is fairly new to all in the healthcare industry and they are struggling with the judicial process because there are no set guidlines on how to deal with someone who suffers from any type of MH and engages in criminal activity. I dont think its fair to subject one to death, another to a psyciatric hospital and the other to prison. Without treatment MH disorders exasberates as patients get older. You mind makes up what you want to believe or whats necessary for you to believe to carry on with your life. I think truth is dependent on the level of awareness of the observer, so all perspectives could be true, and something could be both true and false at the same time. Maybe everything is true. I have the same concern about this issue though I honestly don't know what to say. In fact a few months ago a family friend brutally murdered his two family members and he's serving time in prison but the case is along the lines of insanity/ mental illness. I don't know how to address this but perhaps mental illness should be given enough attention esp. in the habesha community.
